Coated calcite
Coated calcite is a white or grayish mineral additive obtained by treating/coating calcite particles with stearin (triple pressure stearic acid). This treatment provides several improvements to the product, such as: greater fluidity/dispersion, impermeability, hydrophobicity, anti-humectant, anti-caking agent, reduced abrasiveness, etc.
Calcite is used in adhesives, rubber, ceramics, agricultural pesticides, civil construction (grouts, etc.), electrical wires and cables, EVA, plastics, plastisols, sealants, printing inks and others.
