Clay
Hydrated aluminum silicate, the most common of which are those of the kaolinite and montmorillonite groups.
In nature, in addition to clay minerals, clays are generally associated with other materials and minerals, such as organic matter, soluble salts and particles of other minerals such as quartz, feldspar, carbonate and silicates. Clays have an excellent CEC (cation exchange capacity), plasticity, high surface area, excellent compaction and thixotropy, and are used in the agribusiness, rubber, ceramics, household cleaning, oil, construction, paper, chemical, paint and other segments, supplied in the colors (cream, green and pink).
